On June 30 & July 1, Georgina was back again with over 2,000 intrepid runners, joggers and walkers, participating in the 2018 Cotswold Way Challenge from Bath to Cheltenham.
This year Georgina has chosen to tackle two Action Ultra Challenge courses, hoping to raise an amazing £2,000 for Cancer Research UK. There’s a link below to Georgina’s Just Giving page.
The first of the two events was the Cotswold Way Challenge, running from the Royal Crescent in Bath, through 60 miles of beautiful Somerset and Gloucestershire countryside to Cheltenham.
Crossing the finishing line
Georgina completed the hilly course in a fraction over 24 hours (24:02hr), celebrating at the end with a welcome glass of fizz. Georgina and fellow-walker Michelle, who teamed up during the event, said “We’re absolutely chuffed to have completed the course. That was tough!”
“I’d like to say a huge thank you again to everyone who has supported me and Cancer Research UK” Georgina added. “In 6 weeks, I’ll be doing it all again at the Wye Valley Challenge – watch this space!”
